"Trayvon Martin didn't die so we can create a race war he died so we can promote better understanding. We must starthonest dialogue." |
Treyvon Martin, 17, shot dead in his own neighbourhood, unarmed, by the neighbourhood watch. 28 year old, George Zimmerman is the shooter. He said "This guy looks like he's on drugs, he's definitely messed up" about Treyvon to a 9-1-1 dispatcher. Zimmerman continued to follow him, and then more 9-1-1 calls were reporting the two fighting in the back of Treyvon's house. All Treyvon's parents want is justice. I think this article is very important to my blog, because it shows one perfect example of another injustice being done to a child in the public's eye. This man NEEDS to be locked up, so sign a petition go to www.change.org to add your name!

I think this should go to trial and each side should get a chance at the stand. I think you can defend yourself with out killing someone. This man should have listened to the dispatcher in the first place. If he was on the phone with the dispatcher shouldn't the police have arrived sooner when the whole brawl happened. I think justice should be served like the mother said, but I do think all parties are entitled to a fair trail.
ReplyDeleteIt's obvious to everyone but the police that this man shot an innocent kid. I can't believe that they would let him go on self-defense. It was cold-blooded murder, and he should be brought to justice for his horrible crime. He was supposed to protect this neighborhood by being on the watch committee, and instead it was put in even more danger with him in charge.
ReplyDeleteThis is another result of the United States casual gun laws. Every citizen has a right to bear arms if they feel threatened, an this man who shot Treyvon was obviously afraid of him for whatever reason, maybe to do with race, but apparently had to do with wearing a hoodie. I think this man should be charged for improper use of a fire arm and homicide.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Megan that everyone should be entitled to a fair trial. I think that Treyvon deserves his fair trial. The dispatcher told Zimmerman to not follow Treyvon, if he had listened there wouldn't have been any of this mess. I think Zimmerman does deserve a fair trial, but his fair trial shouldn't involve self defense if he was specifically told by dispatch to not follow the innocent boy.
